Our superintendent led us with the charge: All students have the right to read by the end of third grade. This workshop will describe the journey one district has started to implement, support, and sustain a district-wide K-3 reading initiative. The presenters will share their experiences in delivering research-based literacy programs in K-3 and provide the nuts and bolts for meeting the needs of diverse student populations in a variety of settings, including both whole and small group instruction and throughout the various tiers of instruction.
