Raising Student Achievement Through Enhanced Vocabulary Instruction
Limited Capacity seats available

In this session, teachers will be actively involved in playing vocabulary games and doing vocabulary activities that they can use in the classroom to enhance vocabulary instruction.  The research behind engaging vocabulary instruction and how the "old-fashioned" instruction of looking up the vocabulary list definitions can be eliminated with a few vocabulary games and activities that will have students retaining vocabulary beyond the weekly test.  The "This, Not That" Book Series, "No More Look Up the List Vocabulary Instruction" by Cobb and Blachowicz will be referenced.  This is a fun, engaging session with "Use on Monday" activities!
